7 weeks 6 days US
This morning (bright and early.... too early for me!) we had our 5th US to see our little Raspberry. It sure is growing quickly! It is crazy to think just a few weeks ago all we could see was a gestational sac! And now there is a little baby in there with a beating heart! Speaking of beating heart, the heartbeat was a whopping 149 beats per minute today! I am so relieved that the fender bender I had did not effect my pregnancy! C thinks it is a girl, and my mother has consistently been saying it is a girl but I still think it is a boy!
The good news is the doctor said I can stop the progesterone injections and switch to the less painful vaginal suppositories (EW). But at 10 weeks as long as my levels are good enough I can stop them all together! I still will change my estrogen patches every other day and eventually wean to one patch before stopping at 10 weeks. I must say as much as I want to stop these two medications I am nervous that once I do something will happen. I just hope the placenta does it's job and produces these hormones naturally so I don't need to worry.
Anyway, enough about me! I am so happy for all of the other couples out there who have gotten BFP's recently! That is so awesome. It is nice to be able to go through this process with others in blogland!
Thanks for reading! Sticky baby dust to all!

Quick Update :)
So Friday we went for another quick US, so C could see the baby's heartbeat etc. All went well it was nice to get to see and hear the heartbeat again :). We go back again on Thursday for our next US and bloodwork. I am getting closer and closer to getting to be off the estrogen and progesterone. I think my butt will take forever to heal from these shots lol it is still numb.
Also, we picked out OB/GYN! Our first appointment in May 3rd! I can't believe it!
On a side note I am a little worried because last night I was driving home from a Phillies game and someone hit the back of my car at a red light. No major damage just a few scratches but I did get jolted a bit. I just hope everything with the baby is okay. I'll be anxious until Thursday I suppose.
Here are the pictures from Friday:
Here is our baby's heartbeat being measured on Friday. It was 119 beats per minute :)!
Kind of hard to see but the big black oval is my gestational sac, the little greyish circle in the middle is the yolk sac, and the white blob (to the right in the gest sac) with a big head is our baby :)
How far along? 7 weeks 2 days
How big is baby? Raspberry
Total weight gain/loss: None
Maternity Clothes: Not wearing them yet but bought a few more things on Friday with C :).
Have you started to show yet? Not yet, just bloated belly

Food Cravings: NOTHING... food aversions stink
Anything make you queasy or sick? Nothing specific just a sense of nausea mostly in the morning or when my belly is empty
Gender prediction: Boy
Symptoms: Tired, bloated, occasional nausea, and sore boobs. Honestly I am happy because they're subtle.
Major purchases this week? Maternity clothes.... ouch they're pricey!
Looking forward to: Next US Thursday :)

Heartbeat :)
WHAT A HUGE RELIEF! Our little blueberry has a beating heart, 112 beats per minute, it's crazy! I feel so blessed. I can't even describe the feeling I got when I saw the little flicker on the screen and even better when I heard it, just simply amazing. I suppose it is measuring a little small but doctor said he loves everything he sees and there is no need to worry. But is there ever going to be a worry free pregnancy... not for me! It makes me happy that the little bean has more than doubled it's size since Friday though. Also, I asked the doctor which side of my uterus the bean is on and he said right in the middle, lol! So much for trying to predict the gender! And I hate to be morbid but my chances of miscarriage now that the heartbeat is detected is 9.4% and next weeks goes down to 4.2%!
I am going in Friday for another US, so C can see too. Unfortunately our schedules have been so crazy that she has not made it to one US appointment yet! So thankfully friday she will!
Baby dust to all! So nice to see so many in blogland getting close to pregnancy!

6 week US
So today was the second ultrasound and they corrected their mistake on calculating the gestational age wrong, so now I am 6 weeks which is what I thought I was. My HCG level has risen nicely to 9,328, my progesterone was 33, and estrogen was 203.
To the actual US, my mom and sister got to join me which was nice :). The good news is it is definitely one little bean in there! It's bittersweet but a relief from the worries that would have came with twins (for me at least). So the doctor said he could identify the amniotic sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole but no heartbeat yet. I immediately got upset. I thought this meant it wasn't a viable pregnancy but he assured me that it's 50/50 to hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks and that if I came back tomorrow we probably could have heard it since there was a fetal pole (that pissed me off because they don't do pregnancy scans on weekends). But oh well I am sure everything is fine, I will go back on Tuesday for another US and hopefully see the little blueberry's heartbeat!

First US
So today was the day, I got to see what is growing inside of me! LOL
Doctor said there is one visible gestational sac, but he can't rule out twins until next week (when I am 6 weeks). He said that sometimes 4 weeks 5 days (even though I calculated that I am 5 weeks today) is too early to see a gestational sac. But that being said we saw one! And I am perfectly happy with one baby. I guess I thought today would be the definitive answer... but yet another wait lol. My bet is on one but it would be a nice surprise if somehow there were two next week. My next US is next Friday, April 12th. I will be 5 weeks 6 days, in my RE's eyes. I am not sure how they did their calculations because every IVF calculator I use says I am 5 weeks today (not 4 weeks 5 days), but I guess they're right.
Anyway, my third beta HCG was also drawn today and it was, 716. My progesterone level was, 19. I am still changing my estrogen patches (two) every other day and taking my daily IM injection of progesterone. And I have a bone to pick with these two medications... first of all the other night I somehow woke up with an estrogen patch on upper arm instead of my butt cheek where it had been before I went to sleep! And of course it lost its stick so I had to replace it and they are $9 a piece, OUCH! I am so scared of loosing one or both patches now, that at work I find myself feeling my butt cheeks (thankfully over my pants) more than I probably should! And on to the progesterone, all I have to say is 5 MORE WEEKS!!! Right on my hips I am numb from the medication lumps. So, I though maybe if C gives it in my arm (deltoid) it wouldn't be bad... WRONG it was 10x worse. I felt like I got whacked by a soft ball in that arm for two days! It feels like my butt is bruised but it's just sore. For now I am dealing with the numbness... hoping it doesn't progress. I am done complaining now, these are very minute issues and I will gladly deal with them for the little sweat pea in my uterus.
I am so thankful for this pregnancy and I hope and pray that it progresses normally and I stay healthy! Still no huge symptoms. My boobs are definitely sore, and I am a bit more tired (probably because I get up to pee at least twice a night). Had a one or two episodes of nausea but mostly due to smells that I suddenly don't like. The other day it was the smell of a man's newspaper on the train. I was so nervous that I was going to puke (thank goodness I packed bags just in case), but I didn't.
Well, until next time :)!
