7 weeks 6 days US

This morning (bright and early.... too early for me!) we had our 5th US to see our little Raspberry. It sure is growing quickly! It is crazy to think just a few weeks ago all we could see was a gestational sac! And now there is a little baby in there with a beating heart! Speaking of beating heart, the heartbeat was a whopping 149 beats per minute today! I am so relieved that the fender bender I had did not effect my pregnancy! C thinks it is a girl, and my mother has consistently been saying it is a girl but I still think it is a boy!

The good news is the doctor said I can stop the progesterone injections and switch to the less painful vaginal suppositories (EW). But at 10 weeks as long as my levels are good enough I can stop them all together! I still will change my estrogen patches every other day and eventually wean to one patch before stopping at 10 weeks. I must say as much as I want to stop these two medications I am nervous that once I do something will happen. I just hope the placenta does it's job and produces these hormones naturally so I don't need to worry.

Anyway, enough about me! I am so happy for all of the other couples out there who have gotten BFP's recently! That is so awesome. It is nice to be able to go through this process with others in blogland!

Thanks for reading! Sticky baby dust to all!

  6. Congrats! You won't believe how quickly the baby grows. Every time I go in I think "Oh NOW she looks like a real baby" and then the next time I'm like, "What was I thinking? NOW she looks like a real baby..." Ha.
