Bittersweet farewell

Well today was a very bittersweet visit to our RE's office. We took a peak at our gummy bear, which was the last time in that office. The doctor has his bets on a girl (I hope he is right). The heartbeat was 174 beats per minute, baby was measuring right on track and today we got to see our baby MOVE! He/she was dancing up a storm it was so amazing to see!  C and I are filled with joy, we are so happy we have gotten the chance to see our baby progress each week so far. I know I will miss the weekly visits/US's but I need to get out of spoiled mode I suppose. Today marks 9 weeks 5 days, hoping that the wait to gender reveal goes quickly! I am so antsy lol!

Monday is our second OB/GYN visit. Our first appointment with a doctor. I really hope that it goes much better than the nurse consult did. I don't like the feeling I have been left with since then.

  1. I totally remember feeling the same exact way. You become so close with the fertility doc, the nurses, the whole office really and then you have to say goodbye. We really are spoiled in this regard! The good news is that those weekly US will be replaced with registering for baby gear, nursery prep, little baby kicks and more celebration than you can imagine. These things certainly helped to take my mind off the fact that we no longer got to see our little bean as often. I'm so excited for all the FUN stuff you guys are about to experience! :)

  2. So cute that you got to see the little bean move around and dance up a storm! I know it must be hard to leave that clinic - you guys seem to have such a long good history. It's sad and at the same time exciting because you are moving on - your bean is growing! I hope your OB is better than the nurse intake too, that just sounded awful!

  3. You should look into getting a midwife. We weren't getting a good feeling from our OB and switched to a midwife group that delivered at a hospital we heard good reports about. I say go with your gut. It's your baby you should feel comfortable with your whole experience.

  5. ah yes I remember the last day at the clinic. I wanted to give all the nurses a big hug! Now you get to enjoy watching/feeling your tummy grow and get prepared for your new arrival. How exciting!
